BRANKO USLJEBRKA WINS THE APL MILLION MAIN EVENT - $265,000!

Wollongong's Branko Usljebrka is our APL Million Main Event champion! Despite starting the day as one of the short stacks, with 3,390,000 in chips, Usljebreka has come from the clouds to claim his first major trophy and the $265,000 top prize.

Usljebreka began the day by eliminating John Thompson to give himself some chips to play with and then assumed the chip lead after a big clash with Martin Rowe. Moments later he sent overnight chip leader Adrian Attenborough to the rail to enter heads-up play ahead and afte about an hour of play eventually sent his last opponent Rowe to the rail in 2nd.

Usljebreka has defeated a monster field of 1,164 players to reach this point and showed nerves of steel at the final table to come away with the top prize. Congratulations Brank on a memorable victory!
