WSOP Sydney Ladies Event Winner - Victoria Boast

Victoria Boast has claimed the 2018 WSOP Sydney Ladies Event for $8,820.

Victoria settled into the game comfortably with a familiar face next to her on the felt - Irene Bennett, after playing for years together in local poker events on Sydney’s North Shore. Star Poker regulars started the game strong with Rebecca Kinnane as the chip lead, closely followed by Mele Poulivaati. The action-packed final table moved at the speed of a turbo event, with the ladies showing no fear as they risked their stacks with regular all-ins and courageous calls. Despite the experience of the local ladies, it was the North shore duo that remained on the felt after just 1.5 hours of play.

Pocket sevens were Victoria’s lucky charm tonight for the final hand, just as they were for the Opening Event winner Jun Wang one day earlier.  She was all-in pre-flop against Irene’s ace-ten offsuit when her 7’s held up!
